Guardando il thread dei premi di quell'edizione di Game Chef, Terribly Beautiful si è beccato uno dei (tanti) premi speciali con questa motivazione:

More Honorable Mentions:
Best Game that Reinvents Vampires, Awesomely: Terribly Beautiful by Graham MacLean. Graham throws down come extremely compelling, evocative background and setting text. It's like a fine point between the World of Darkness and the game Kult (or perhaps a darker, more human Clive Barker short story/novel). As I'm reading through this, I'm seeing a new face of vampires, ones where they are not noble but rather quite lowly. It was like someone gave the Battlestar Galactica treatment (in its best moments) to the concept of Vampires, turning it on its ear while still keeping the concept intact.
It wasn't until I got through the thing, and backed up a few steps, that I realized, "Oh, OHHHhhhh, ok: The game is about how magical AIDS gives you superpowers". Still, great surreal dark background, great minor characters, good writing, and hot damn we even have an example of play. Sweeeeeet.
