Thanks Davide. That means a lot. It's funny, you spend months getting really upset and anxious about all the crap, and then suddenly people like you are telling me nice things.
Lately I've been trawling through a 30 page thread of TheRPGSite about how storygamers are all fucked in the head (based on two AP reports on Hell for Leather). That was a bit of a blow to my confidence, so this feedback comes at a welcome time. I should really move to Italy.

I can't say much on Hell for Leather, since I haven't really played it; but I definitely like Chronicles of Skin, as the friends that played it with me.

Sebastian, I would be worried if a game DIDN'T get the people on the RPGSite all furious and spewing bile: it would mean that game was bland, boring and derivative.
30 pages? That should boost your confidence! You should put that on the cover blurb...

I'm still a bit embarrassed about that, to be honest. I know it's kind of funny, but I was excessively rude for no proper reason. And now it's there, forever, burned into the Internet like a tattoo. One day my kid is going to read it and think, "holy shit, my dad is fucked in the head."

I hope it turns out to be at least half as good as HfL (which is right now the single game I played most after my "golden" years with Vampire, and the single game I managed to play with all kinds of people without getting complaints)

del gioco però non so dirti nulla purtroppo e in generale i post in inglese non parlano del gioco in se ma di come le varie community online reagiscano ai giochi di Sebastian ^^

Basandomi sulla versione del Game Chef, quindi molte cose potrebbero essere cambiate…
Giochi la storia di una guerra tra due popoli fantasy, in quattro scene (che sono "flash" di momenti salienti della storia, possono essere distanziate anche di anni e probabilmente coinvolgeranno personaggi diversi).
La creazione dei due popoli, il framing delle scene e i personaggi presenti in ciascuna scena devono integrare dei suggerimenti casuali provenienti dalle carte.
Ogni scena porta a un evento bellico (una battaglia, un'imboscata, una strage di innocenti) e ne determina l'esito: chi vince lo scontro, chi lo perde, con quanto gravi perdite da ambo le parti.
L'ambientazione e gli esiti di ogni scena vengono registrati su un foglio in maniera visiva, con una combinazione di disegno libero e icone/pittogrammi. Alla fine del gioco, quindi, avrai questa "pelle dipinta" (la "skin" del titolo) che è come uno dei popoli primitivi (quello che vince la guerra!) avrebbe potuto registrare la propria storia per tramandarla ai posteri.

-sul sito leggo "We're trying to raise funds to create a full-colour card game. The $2000 is enough for 175 decks to be printed and shipped to shops and homes.". Quindi, se ho capito bene, il gioco consiste in un mazzo di carte a colori, giusto?
- con la donazione di 25$ avrò il mio mazzetto spedito a casa e in più potrò aver accesso al PDF Conventions of War, giusto?

Il "Convention of War" è una sorta di manuale avanzato con materiali di gioco e esempi di gioco illustrati.
Il pacchetto da 25 dollari comprende il mazzo di carte e il manuale con le regole per giocare stampato e il "Convention of War" in pdf.
Per avere accesso al libro "Convention of War" stampato si devono dare almeno 100 dollari.
Quindi si è giusto quello che avevi capito, ma non sottovaluterei il fatto che oltre alle carte ti danno anche il manuale per capire come si usano. :)

Thanks for helping to fund the game! We've got a new goal. I found a printer in India who can print the game at less than half price, but I'd have to get more than a thousand copies printed. Advantages: thicker card, shinier card, brighter colours, shinier box, holographic seal (!), quicker turnaround and cheaper cost per unit. Disadvantages: We need $5000 to afford to buy that many, ship them and distribute them to retailers.
You guys have already helped fund the game, so there's not much I can ask you for!
But maybe you could tweet about the game or write a post on some forum somewhere? I dunno.
In any case, it's a joy to have you behind me. You're fucking cool.
