Classificare Apocalypse World

http://story-games.com/forums/?CommentID=323044

For anyone who cares about such technicalities, Apocalypse World is sandboxy, immersionist or immersion-friendly, high-color, class-based, fiction-first, RGFA-Threefold simulationist (but the low-crunch version), and Big Model Story Now. It's about loyalty, but not about treachery. It uses Fortune in the Middle Conflict Resolution mechanics.

There's probably more but I got bored writing that stuff.

edit: Oh, this is a little bit of fun, for those of you who were at the Forge in times of antiquity: the game gets a lot of mileage out of playing myth and no-myth against one another. All the misdirect and never speak its name stuff is myth-of-reality play, but as MC you're playing no-myth internally. You're creating the myth, with self-awareness, not falling for it yourself. And it doesn't depend on the players' falling for it either, as it sometimes did in the myth-of-reality games of our youth; all they have to do is go along with it. "Hey, was that some future badness you just announced?" "I'll never tell, but yes, it was." "Well don't get all jumpy with the countdown clock yet! I still have some tricks up my sleeve."

------------------------------------------------------------------

Hit points are mechanical script immunity. They tell you that you can do a totally stupid thing or two and still be just fine, and so allow you to do risky things when you want to do them.

Moreno, sapresti spiegarmi perché AW sarebbe Fortune in the Middle?

-------------
GO AGGRO
When you go aggro on someone, roll+hard. On a 10+, they have to choose: force your hand and suck it up, or cave and do what you want. On a 7–9, they can instead choose 1:
• get the hell out of your way
• barricade themselves securely in
• give you something they think you want
• back off calmly, hands where you can see
• tell you what you want to know (or what you want to hear)
----------------------
